About

'A Country Life' is now somewhere that I can combine my two passions - writing about country living.  I have experienced the call to write several times in my life.  Despite trying to ignore the nagging voice in my head, and taking on other professions such as working on farms with cattle and sheep (which I loved), I have finally realised that I really am a writer.

I now work as a freelance writer and photographer and dedicate the rest of my time to children, sewing, my horse, my blog, helping my husband with our sheep and being a housewife!

As well as riding my horse Ruby, I like country style homes, I love rural Australia and getting out on the farm and working with my livestock.

I'm keen to wind back the clock and live a more simple life, stepping back from an excessive use of technology and making as much as I can from scratch, reviving all those skills that our grandparents used to have.  Baking, sewing, knitting and growing vegetables are all now a part of my everyday life.

Here at A Country Life I like to blog about my random adventures and share the busy world that is my life.

You can also connect with me on Instagram or on Twitter or 'like' my Facebook page.  If you would like to say hello you can also email me at amber.freelance@gmail.com
